Do U just feel or Believe?

Some say Faith is a gift and others say everyone has faith in God and until you search your soul you will never know its there.
Maybe Faith is a gift that most of us are yet to receive or never receive. And maybe we all have faith but we have not searched our souls yet.
No matter what the situation is I personally think Faith and God should be a feeling experience and not a believing experience. Because if you just believe and you don't really feel it, its not true at all. Its just like every normal things we do in our everyday lives. If you don't feel it you cant just believe it,its not really there then. Example Love, Happiness, Sadness, Depression. You cant just say you believe in Love when you don't really feel it. Or you say you are sad when you don't really feel sad.
There are so many religions in this world. We all have different opinions and beliefs and no matter which way u decide to follow. Be it you are religious, spiritual, or just a believer. You really need to feel what you believe in. God is love. And I say that because i feel it. Weather I am religious, or spiritual or just a believer. I know my God represents love, peace and Happiness. =)

..So I was talking to some friends and we were reflecting back on our pre-teen, teen and Adult lives I realized its all the same story in diff chapters

Dear Mummy / Daddy

We know U love Us

And we also know U adore us

Most importantly we know U would do anything in the world to make us happy

We know U don't like who we are dating now, or

Our past dating history

Because U think/ thought they were "no good" to us

But at that moment in time

Of course we did not listen

Not because we were being stubborn

But because at that particular time

We did not feel they were "no good" to us

U might not like our piercings

Or tattoos,

Or group of friends

Because u know that birds with the same feathers fly together

We totally know that

We know u don't want us to hang out too late

And u don't want us to drink or do drugs

Or have sex either, until we are married

And we know that sometimes u snoop around,

Our things, phones, and rooms.

Don't worry we know, but we sometimes don't mind

As long as u don't bring it up =)

We also know that U want us to date 1 person at a time

And U don't want us to talk back at you

Or raise our voices

And U are sometimes concerned about our reputation

We know that U want us to get quality education

So that we can live the lives we deserve

Be independent and hopefully give the world to U when u retire

We also know that u want us to one day settle down and have families of our own

So U can play with your grand kids

We know exactly what U Want for us

Or maybe we might not realize until we are teen/ adults

But in our defence we will also like U to know some facts

We love and adore U too

We probably wont show it sometimes, but we do

Oh we know u don't like who we are dating, U don't have to like them, but u also should not think they are bad for us

Either ways, nobody will be good for us in your eyes

Let us learn from mistakes, or maybe not

Do not always let us know U are hovering over us

But deep down we love the fact that U are looking out for us

We sometimes do not like u keeping track of who we date or who we are talking to

And yes, sometimes just because we are dating someone does not mean they will end up being Ur daughter/son in law

We know whats good for us and we will not marry any "good for nothing" person

Even if U may not accept our piercing/ tattoos ,we love them

Some of our friends may have problems and U may not like them

But we love them. Not for what they are or what they do but who they are

Even though all birds with the same feathers flock together it does not mean we do what our friends do

Not all of us fall into that peer pressure mode

Sometimes parties don't start till 11 pm and bowling/skating/ movies are just better in the evenings,

Yes our friends drink, smoke and some even do drugs.

But if we haven't done any of that by now U should not worry about anything. Its a Lil too late for peer pressure

Sometimes we talk back because u will never see our view of things until we make U

And just because U see people flashing their body parts on T.V on Spring break or any vacation

does not mean we will. Come on!

More than anything we want to be successful and give you the world too.

BUT..

Did U know young men/ women sell drugs for money

Did U know young women/men have sex for money even though they are not branded "Prostitutes"?

Did U know young people use drugs more than u can ever imagine?

Did U know young people break into peoples homes just for the fun of it

Did U know young people go in and out of jail on a regular basis?

Did u know some young people kill other people all in the name of "beef"

Maybe U knew all of that and maybe not

But they are also peoples children

Parents who raised their kids up in humble backgrounds

Parents who never thought they will bail their kids from jail,

Parents who never thought their kids will constantly get high on drugs

Parents who never thought their kids will drink so much that they will prefer alcohol to any other drink

Parents who never thought their kids will prostitute for money

And parents who in their wildest dreams never thought they will identify their dead child

But it happens

And the point of me writing this is for some parents to realize that even if they don't get along with their pre-teens, teens, young adults or even fully grown adults that it can happen to anybody. Rich, Poor, Neglected, Loved. It can happen. Some problems are worse than other. But U should thank God for your little problem u have.

What ever it might be. =)
